One of my favourite things to do is meet with brides or couples to discuss their themes or ideas for their big day. Whether they know exactly what they want and how they want it, have a few scattered ideas, a general picture or no clue at all; I love assisting with that creative process.

Moulding existing thoughts and ideas around venues, themes and taste; helping to create an event truly unique to each couple. Thinking outside the box and showing couples that they don’t have to compromise to fit in with set menus.

Wedding catering does not have to be traditional, formal, informal, relaxed, structured, straight laced… it doesn’t have to be anything, there aren’t any rules. It can be as unique and as tailored to you as you wish.

Wedding Catering in Leicester

I met with two brides this week. They both had very different pictures of how they wanted their weddings to be and very different thoughts and ideas regarding their wedding catering. However, what they both had in common was their ability to think completely outside the box! Neither of them quite knew what they wanted, but they knew it wasn’t a formal, traditional, sit down meal. They wanted their wedding catering to reflect them and the story of their lives with their partners.

BBQ catering

One of my favourite things to introduce at the moment is relaxed grazing style food. Note: I don’t mean a naff buffet or teeny tiny snacks! Wholesome food available in all contexts, served however you would like, made only from the freshest, quality, locally sourced ingredients guaranteed to satisfy even the hungriest of guests.

Country themed ‘World Food’ stands (have a spectacular paella at your Spanish Fiesta, or Dutch Style market food and Vietnamese Canapes like Alex and Kirsty), a catered BBQ, help yourself sharing platters and my personal favourite at the moment- prepared picnic hampers.

Sharing style, family served food works great for wedding catering and helps to create a traditional yet informal atmosphere. The same can be said for served bowl food. Even classically traditional wedding catering can have individual twists. It doesn’t have to fit into a set criteria, there is no menu A, B or C; it’s all about what works for you.

So your challenge is… Think outside the box!
